Specific services
Welcome Center Food Valley offers specific services for foreign professionals hired by a Dutch employer.
Contracted by the employer, we arrange formalities such as arranging the appointment to collect residence permit card, biometric data collection and registration with the municipality for a fixed fee.
As an employer, you can also choose to have us arrange all procedures and formalities. Please contact us to discuss our packages for various procedures.
Biometric data
Is your new employee coming to the Netherlands without a visa? In that case, the IND will need biometric data in order to issue a residence permit. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, we will schedule an appointment at our IND in-house desk to collect this information and apply for the residence permit. As soon as this is processed, we can plan an appointment to collect the residence permit card.
Biometric data required for a residence permit:
- A fingerprint scan.
- A passport photo. The photo will be made at our IND desk.
- The foreign professional’s signature.
The residence permit can be picked up at our IND in-house desk within 1 or 2 weeks after the biometrics appointment.
Register with the municipality
Every resident of the Netherlands must have a BSN (social security number). Your new employee needs this number when for example opening a bank account and taking out insurances. The BSN number is provided upon registration with the municipality in the Personal Records Database (BRP).
BSN pre-registration procedure municipality:
Pre-registration is required to issue a BSN number at the appointment. We can arrange this pre-registration to ensure an efficient process.
Appointment registration in municipality:
After pre-registration, the municipality official can issue the BSN number directly to the expat during this personal appointment.
Schooling Program
The complex Dutch education system is difficult for expats to find their way around. The Schooling Program helps families find the right school for their children, ensuring their little ones will have a good start in their educational journey in the Netherlands.
We explain how the education system works, investigate what needs families have and which schools suit them. We also inform them about Dutch education laws and policies regarding non-Dutch speaking children and we can accompany them to visit schools. In this way we help find a school where the children enjoy going.

Home Search Program
The Dutch housing market is tight, which makes it difficult to find a home. That is why WCFV developed the Home Search Program. Based on the expat's wishes, we ensure invitations to viewings, we protect against illegal practices and the expat is guided in contract negotiations.
We have warm relationships with real estate agents, which gives expats an increased chance of becoming the new residents of a fairly priced, pleasant home.
The Home Search Program offers three tracks to choose from. They differ depending on your specific needs.

Dual Career Program
The workplace enables expats to easily build a social network which benefits a soft landing in the Food Valley. To help their partner to find their way in the Netherlands too, WCFV developed the Dual Career Program. We guide the partners in their search of a suitable, fulfilling job.
